 Changes on the Horizon

As the course of the pandemic changes, there are also going to be many changes here at Prince of Peace.

We will continue to open up more and more ministry with fewer and fewer restrictions.

This Sunday, May 23rd at Noon, we will meet to vote on extending a call for a new Associate Pastor. An affirmative vote will mean welcoming a significant partner to our ministry.

We will begin to say “goodbye” to communion pods and begin to come forward for the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Alleluia!

Mission and ministry and Christian Education and in-person meetings will all start to happen again.

I could not be more excited for the new energy that I feel in the air around Prince of Peace.

I also hope that this leads all of us to renewed commitment and support of our beloved church.

This past 16 months have given us lots of distance and a “hands off” approach to being the church. Now, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get back into it.

This is also true with our giving to the church. Expenses were low last year, as we were mostly closed. But now as we open up and bring on new staff, we will need everyone to honor their commitments and provide the good support that we enjoyed and were proud of prior to the pandemic.

Things are changing. Our church is growing. We need everyone to be a part of a ministry that is ever evolving.

In Christ,

Pastor John D. Morris
