So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all. (Galatians 6:10a)
 
If a picture is worth a thousand words, the above picture is worth ten thousand. The warm welcome of these cards and gifts from you all was overwhelming in so many ways. Reading your words of encouragement and excitement brought gladness and gratitude into my heart. Your generosity will provide for my family and me in our first days and weeks of getting to know this community. Thank you especially for all the tips about places that your families have found meaningful. 

In Paul’s letter to the Galatians, he encourages them to see the grace of God over the works of the law and to welcome all people. Without ever meeting me or my family, you choose to take time and welcome us. I find that sort of hospitality to be a unique embrace of this word of love and grace. My hope is that we can continue to share that light in the community so that all may know of God’s love.

I am excited to see the ways that this generosity will continue to manifest in our ways of service, worship, and daily in the community.
