Since we have announced the new worship and education schedule, I’ve heard lots of questions about how this might work. So here are some possible scenarios for you to think about.
Family #1 – Three children. Confirmand, Fifth grader, Second grader
Bring the kids to Sunday School at 9 am. Have breakfast with your confirmand in the Fellowship Hall and read through this week’s lesson from “The Story.” All attend church together at 10:30 am. Confirmand comes Monday night. Parents participate in weekly Bible study.
Family #2 – Single but preferred the 8:15 am worship
Come for a cup of coffee with others at 8:30 am, attend the 9 am worship service, and have breakfast afterwards. Participate in weekly Bible study.
Family #3 – Two high school kids.
Come to either worship service and have breakfast before or after. Participate in weekly Bible study.
Family #4 – All grade school kids.
Drop your children in Sunday School at 9 am. Have fellowship and breakfast at POP’s café. Worship together at 10:30 am. Parents participate in weekly Bible study.
Family #5 – Married with no children.
Worship whenever you would like and immerse yourself in the education program of our congregation.
What I’m hoping is that every person will have an opportunity to worship and to deepen their faith through Christian education. We have multiple opportunities at multiple times for any family. You just need to plug in!
In Christ,
Pastor John D. Morris
