Blessings to you in the New Year! I hope you found the holidays to be full of family time and re-creation and that you are greeting this new year with the hope and promise that is ours in Jesus Christ.
I have a couple things to share with you as we start this New Year at Prince of Peace:
1) Thank you for your tremendous response to this year’s stewardship program. Combined with strong year-end giving and your commitments for the year ahead, we are looking forward to a fully staffed and solvent church for 2023.
2) We have a new handyman that will be doing some work for us in the upcoming weeks. Kalo Mendoza and his family are new to our community, and we are contracting with Kalo for some cleaning and odd jobs around the church. Feel free to greet him if you bump into him around the church.
3) To provide added security for our preschool, our front side (east) doors will be locked during weekdays while the preschool is operating. If you show up and the door is locked, you can use your key or call the phone number provided on the door. While this may be a minor inconvenience for us, it will provide extra protection and security for our children.
4) Mark the dates on your calendar for our upcoming Annual Meetings. The Finance team will lead a discussion of 2022 finances in the sanctuary on Sunday, January 29 at 11:45 am. And then our regular, churchwide Annual Meeting will be on the next Sunday, February 5 at 11:45 am in the sanctuary.
Blessings and grace as you move into this New Year!
