Signs of New Life
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
Have you noticed all the new things happening at Prince of Peace recently?
New carpet in entry way, office area and Fellowship Hall. New handicap accessible door for the West parking lot. New dishwasher ready for installation in the kitchen.
These have been wonderful additions to our facility. The new carpet was needed because of foundation settling and because of “pop-ups” that would happen with summer humidity. We had added a handicap accessible door in the East parking lot some years ago, but now have included this option for both main entrances. Our old dishwasher simply broke down after almost 20 years of use. It was time to update and repair all of these things in our facility.
However, as you might imagine, these things were expensive. Paying for them out of our operating budget has strapped our cash flow here at the beginning of this year.
The good news is that we had substantial leadership gifts for all of these projects. All of the entry way carpet and repair was donated by one of our members, and thanks to our custodian, Kaylor Mendoza, who moved all of the office furniture and repaired the sunken slab in the Fellowship Hall, we were able to do the additional carpet projects at a great savings.
The members who suggested the idea of a handicap accessible door on the West parking lot contributed a substantial amount for that gift. When the dishwasher went on the fritz, one of our POP Café team families gave funds to help buy a new and better model.
All of these things, when completed, will be wonderful additions to our facility.
But we need your help. “Open up” your wallet to help with our new door that opens for everyone. “Rinse out” some funds you have to help “clean up” for our new dishwasher. “Sweep” us away with a substantial gift for our new carpeting.
We have over 800 families at our church. What if everyone gave $1000 for these new renovations or even $500 or $250!! We would have these renovations paid for in no time.
Stop by the Fellowship Hall for more information on these projects and how you might help. Why? Because it’s Easter, and new life is always emerging around us.
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
Celebrating new life with you!
