Help on the Way

Last week, we learned from Heather Heins, Executive Director of One Dublin, and a member of Prince of Peace, that they needed some help.

One Dublin assists families within the Dublin School District with basic needs, such as underwear and shoes and shower amenities and day-to-day “stuff.”

We have been supporting them for many years and are proud to do so.

So Heather let us know that they need help and within a day, Sue Miller, our Director of Christian Education, sent over the money that has been collected to support them from the Sunday School. One Dublin is also a yearly recipient of our benevolent funds, so I had our support sent over to them as soon as possible.

They deeply appreciated all of these monetary gifts, but they also need some other items:

Here’s what they currently have a shortage of:

Underwear: Kids and Adult Sizes
Diapers: Especially sizes 1, 4, 5, 6
Baby Wipes: (Completely out of stock!)
Shampoo and Conditioner
Gently-Used Children’s Shoes: Outgrown, but not outworn

This is not the time of the year when we normally do this collection, but since they need it, I’m asking for your help. There is a display in the Fellowship Hall, and more information will be available in Peace Signs this week.

I love that our church always help when anyone asks. Right now they need some help, let’s see what we can do.

Peace,

Pastor John D. Morris
