Kitchen Refresh
With Closet Cause underway, we have been doing some organizing and purging of the church kitchen. Recently, several members of our ministry groups gathered to clean off shelves, re-organize cabinets, and get rid of things we felt were outdated or underused. This was a lot of fun and thanks again to those who came to help.
As we get started with the new school year, and our ministries begin to operate once again, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the new layout of the kitchen cabinets, pantry, and Fellowship Hall cupboards. Everything is freshly labeled, and we hope the new organization will feel smoother and less cluttered. We have more cleaning to do, so please let us know if you would like to help with our deep cleaning day. We will announce a date after Closet Cause.
As we move forward through the school year, we ask that, as events arise, you please label your items and let us know if you are leaving anything behind. We will be going through the kitchen on a weekly basis to sort and purge any unused, unlabeled, or out-of-date items.
Additionally, when cooking for POP’s Café or other events, if you find some items are missing, please let us know and we will replace them. Or, if you find that your ministry could use some new or additional items, please let us know.
You can email either me or Karen Berkman. There is also a sheet of paper located in the kitchen under the First Aid kit where you can list the items that you need.
