You may have heard that I love basketball. While my father played competitively, and my sons, I did not. I was blessed with the girth and stubby fingers of an offensive lineman. But, ask me about my granddaughter; she’s got serious game!

I hope you also noticed my love for the people of Haiti. When I had the chance to introduce you to Hoops for Haiti, I jumped (albeit not that high) at the chance. Hence, the fun video I put together which you can watch here:

This is our second year to participate March Madness Men's tournament bracket challenge called Hoops for Haiti! Every dollar given supports one of Prince of Peace’s four partners in Haiti, in particular a summer camp which we provide for 200+ children in Jacmel, Haiti. Envision a loving environment, breakfast and lunch for a week, singing, dancing, crafts and importantly a secure and loving environment for kids who really need it.

Each dollar you donate represents about half of a full day's wages for the average Haitian. Let that sink in, and think of the impact your generosity can have!

How to Participate

Step 1:

Donate to Hoops for Haiti via the link below.
All proceeds will be sent to The Haitian Timoun Foundation.
A $25 minimum donation for each bracket is suggested. You can give more.

Step 2:

Sign up and fill out a “March Madness” Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket by clicking the link below. Brackets need to be filled out before noon on March 16.  Please add “PoP Dublin” to your name so we can better track people. Hit the settings icon on the Hoops for Haiti tab. Then click personal info. Then click on the pencil icon. Then add our church name (PoP Dublin) after your last name. You can't use parentheses, but you can add a hyphen.

"But I'm not into basketball!"

That’s okay! While it’s fun for fans to pick brackets and compete for the bragging rights of signing Prince of Peace’s ball displayed at Welcome Center), the real winners are the people of Haiti who receive donations from people who pick one bracket, multiple brackets, or none - anyone can donate! Your donation will help kids in Haiti have a chance to just be kids at a camp that provides clean drinking water, food, song, safety and fun.

You too can be in the game for Haiti! You don’t have to love basketball! No judgement on my part. As long as you leave my sweet granddaughter out of it!

Thank you so much. Good Lcuk!
