Little Shepherds is licensed by the State of Ohio Child Care licensing. We are permitted to open. On Monday July 27 Governor DeWine gave Ohio licensed child care the option to return to former teacher:student capacities of 1:12 or 1:14. Governor DeWine also stated it was up to centers to continue with the Pandemic Transition ratios of 1:9. Little Shepherds will keep our class groups at 9 students, 2 teachers in Little Lambs, Lambs, Rainbows and Kindergarten Enrichment. Our Prek groups will have 1 teacher and a teacher aide to help to navigate the day with restroom breaks, etc.
At this time Little Shepherds is planning to open the week of August 24, as long as Franklin County is red, orange or yellow. We will follow all health orders and continue to be aware of the virus outbreak. We are following the Franklin County Alert system throughout this school year. If on August 23 the county goes to purple, we will postpone our opening to mid-September. Adjustment to tuition rates will be considered at that time. If you are not aware of the Ohio County Risk Alert system please check the Public Health Advisory System
During this time, we are preparing safe spaces and safety protocols so that when we reopen, we will have a safe environment for children, families, and staff members.
Families are urged to Play Safe and Live Smart to Stay Healthy.

Little Shepherds Learning Center is owned and operated by Prince of Peace
Lutheran Church and is governed by the Little Shepherds Board. We have a part-time preschool program and a part-time kindergarten enrichment program.
We have operated since September 2001. We are licensed
by the State of Ohio Child Care Licensing and follow the standards of the National Association of the Education of Young Children.
Our teaching staff’s qualifications and training exceed the state minimum educational requirements. Our child-teacher ratios also exceed state minimum requirements.
Every class has a lead teacher and an assistant teacher to help guide and support your child’s growth and development.
Our commitment is to provide loving care and early Christian education
to the children of our congregation and of our community. Our priority is to provide a safe, nurturing environment to each child in our care, and to promote the development of the whole child. We tend to the child’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs. We offer creative play and exploration, opportunities to grow in knowledge and insight, and the assurance that each child is a beloved gift of God. Class curriculum includes instruction in age appropriate developmental skills, early learning content standards and preschool concepts.
We support the children’s parents through the gifts of time, caring and support in the discipleship of their children. We will periodically offer classes and programs for children and their parents that will be open to the families of our Little Shepherds students and to the community.
Full tuition is offered in a 10 monthly payment plan.
The second through the tenth monthly payments are due on the first of the month, August 2020 – April 2021.
The May 2021 tuition payment is due at the time of class placement.
Tuition is LATE after the 10th of the month.
Please add $10 if after the 10th.
