This year has been off to a great start!
It has been wonderful to see the adult studies engage with “Honoring our Neighbor’s Faith” and with Sunday School, confirmation, and our high schoolers.
At the end of this month is one of my favorites from last year: our second-grade Bible presentation and workshop.
Teaching is one of my passions and favorite parts of ministry.
Last year, we learned about how to read our Bibles and about the church year.
I love seeing the kids' excitement about getting their Bibles and how they begin to read them. We get to teach and share what God’s Word is like and how we continue to live and learn from it.
Their faces light up as they begin to understand and think about what God is doing in the Word and how it continues to impact our lives today.
I love seeing what kids notice in the scripture that sometimes, even I may not have thought about before, and how they understand what God is telling our kids.
It is a beautiful time to see our kids take the next step in their faith journey and grow individually and as a community of faith.
I am grateful to this congregation for supporting and encouraging our kids to learn and read scripture together, taking the promise made at our baptisms seriously.
If you know a 2nd grader or any other elementary child who has not been presented with a Bible, please encourage families to join the fellowship and education.
