Voting and Praying

Did you vote yet today?  Did you pray yet today?

Did you pray while you were voting?

Did you vote then pray for a certain outcome?

I hope you did vote today. It’s important that we participate in the democratic process in our country.

But I need you to pray. I need you to pray for our congregation, our ministry, and all that we do here at Prince of Peace.

And I also hope that part of your praying is connected to your thoughts about what you might give to our church.

We have sent all of you some prayer cards and are asking you to pray this simple prayer for the next several weeks:

Lord, you have blessed me. Help me use
what I have been given as a blessing
for the work of your church.  Amen

Pray this prayer and then fill out your estimate of giving or pledge card and return it to the church on the weekend of November 19-20.

I don’t know how our elections will come out. I do pray that we will elect leaders and pass issues that uplift and care for all people. But I do know how our prayers will come out.

If we ask God to bless us and then share that blessing, we will become a blessing to the world.

Blessed by Christ,

Pastor John D. Morris
